Songs of Experience, el decimocuarto disco de U2, estará definitivamente a la venta en diferentes formatos el próximo 1 de diciembre en CD, vinilo, descarga digital y plataformas de streaming.
La portada del disco, que muestra a los hijos de Bono y The Edge Eli Hewson y Sian Evans, es obra de Anton Corbijn. Ha sido producido por Jacknife Lee y Ryan Tedder, con Steve Lillywhite, Andy Barlow y Jolyon Thomas.
La banda irlandesa lo presentará en una gira mundial que arrancará en mayo de 2018 en Norteamérica. El siguiente tramo tendrá lugar en Europa (sabemos que Madrid y de nuevo Barcelona optan a tener al grupo irlandés, aunque hay que esperar al desenlace) y también se espera que visiten Australia y Asia.
Junto al anuncio del álbum y las primeras fechas de la gira, U2 estrena Get out of your own way (con colaboración de Kendrick Lamar) y la versión estudio de The Blackout. Ambas, junto al single You’re the best thing about me se ofrecen ya directamente a los fans que reserven el disco en U2.com. Las tres composiciones están ya en plataformas de streaming.
Los fans de Reino Unido, Irlanda, Alemania, Francia, España, Portugal, Dinamarca, Italia y Holanda que reserven el disco en u2.com hasta el 30 de noviembre tendrán la oportunidad de entrar en una preventa para dos entradas para los shows de Europa que aún están por anunciar. También hay una promoción similar en Fnac.
